Before I came to Bali, I had already made some contacts via social media. So when I arrived here, I received lots of suggestions from people about what I could do.
Friday I went to the Tirta Empul Temple, to the Gunung Kawi Temple and to the Agung Volcano. I did that together with the driver I hired for that day. (I also received him through a friend).
At the Tirta Empul Temple, the Balinese believe that holy water comes out of the ground. There are also a row of stone jugs next to each other where the water comes out and where people can

‘baptize’. You get a different blessing with every jug. If you want to use the water and want to be baptized with a blessing by all jars, then a small fee will be charged. It is also mandatory to wear a sarong in the water.
The Gunung Kawi Temple was very special. The area there looked like a part of a movie!
The temple consists of ten altars carved into a massive rock face. The notches where the altars are located are 7 meters high. For a long time it was thought that they were burial monuments, but in recent years it has become clear that it was built in honor for the royal family, who had control of Bali at that time.
I did not climb the volcano, but the view when you are there, because it is on a lake, is breathtaking! On one side is the mountain / volcano and on the other side only green forest and in between the lake.
It is definitely worth taking a look! And there are hardly any tourists.
I Really had an amazing day with an amazing driver! When your traveling on your own, I can definately recommend getting a driver (car or scooter). He can show you places other tourists won’t visit. And When your alone it’s nice to talk to somebody about what your experiencing.
