Sydney Experience So Far

Like I said in my previous blog; have you ever wondered why things sometimes don’t go the way you planned? And it turns out, that the new way seems to be so much better! For so far you can imagine the planned version would have gone of course. Well, that’s what has happened to me!

When I first got here, I stayed with my family in Beacon Hill, Sydney. They invited me to come over and said that I could stay for a couple of weeks. I’m really thankful they did that. They showed me around in Sydney. We took the ferry to Manly beach, saw the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge from the water. Went Kayaking, did long walks with the dog, and they got me an Opal card. It was an amazing time staying with them. And I’m very grateful.

So now I’ve been an au pair in Killara, Sydney for 3 weeks already. And it has been a blessed! The family is lovely and the area they live in is really great! Lots of green and the train station is nearby, so within 40 min you are at Sydney CBD.

I’ve also been driving a car by myself. My host family’s dad thought me how to drive here in Sydney. And ever since I can take the car when they don’t need it and go explore the area by myself. Which is a blest, because it takes awhile to travel from A to B by public transportation.

So for this blog I wanted to say, be grateful. Things always go how they need to go despite of what you planned. You just have to trust the process. Trust that it’ll all be alright in the end.  Trust that things happen because you have lessons to learn. And trust that things will never get heavier than you can bear. It’s all about the process, not the destination! The process makes you, you.
